We had a variety of food from swordfish to seafood tagliatelle, lamb stew and chicken - all very tasty. Mateus and cocktails to compliment the meal. Desserts were homemade and good too.
The service was good and the owners very friendly.
It was a cool night and they had the wood burner on.

The couple who run this restaurant provide an impeccable dining experience. We were talked through the catch of the day in great detail before letting the owner design a dish for us based on what sort of flavours we like. Yeah, was pretty much best fish I have ever eaten! Washed down with a bit of 'on the house' port. Very special and will most certainly return as soon as poss. The restaurant itself also pleases the eye.

They have a varied menu and service is quick and with a smile which cannot be said for many in the area. There are better restaurants nearby, but if you do not fancy a walk and are staying nearby then you should find something here.

Lovely atmosphere to this restaurant. Service top notch from the moment you enter.
Free glass bubbly.
We both had steak. Angus and T-Bone. Cooked perfectly(medium rare - and they were) Quality beef!
Excellent house red and very reasonable price for bottle - recommend!
Service was really great - we spilled glass of wine - one minute there was a mess...a few seconds later you would never know it had happened - all sorted with a smile.
So if you want a good reasonable priced meal and good food served professionally this is the place.
Starter/main/sweet/bottle wine/coffee(with Tia maria) and aperitif 98 Euro for two - all good! :)

Having walked past this place a couple of times, we finally decided to give it a try. Location and view excellent. An extensive menu for all tastes. Fabulous pasta and chicken kebabs. The wine menu was very good. Staff were so attentive without being intrusive and we will definitely return before the end of our holiday.

Charming eatery run by 'Portuguese English' couple. Second time here, and did not disappoint. The most fabulous steak, being local meat, with salad and the usual. Lovely wine on offer, finished off with an awesome fig, almond and chocolate tart (all locally sourced). For three of us, two bottles of wine, bottled water etc so reasonable at €35 ph given exceptional quality. Easily my favourite whilst here, and will be back!

The menu caters for everyone with some excellent steak options and a small children's menu. A Ria prepares all the dishes at the time of order ensuring each dish is fresh NB.this can cause some delays in the height of the summer when the restaurant is full, you can take this time to relax and enjoy a drink or a bottle of good quality Portuguese wine. WiFi is now available. A Ria is currently closed on Mondays. To guarantee your table Reservations are excepted.

Had a fabulous meal of Scorpion fish which was recommended by the Manager. Brought the fish to the table and then came back and let us know how much it would cost - 42 euros for the two of us with potatoes and vegetables. It was then prepared and cooked on the b-b-q at the quayside, which I can honestly say was delicious. Staff were great and it was a very enjoyable evening. Book ahead as it does get busy.

We went here for a family meal as a belated mothers day present. The food was absolutely delicious. I had brushetta to start with followed by the best mushroom and asparagus risotto I have ever tasted. Everyone had something different. But all agreed the food was amazing. It was so good we went back again. I had read excellent reviews about it before. But couldn't quite place where it was. It's at the very end of the strip. Just before you get to the coastal road to get to Praia da vau. Give it a try and you will definitely want to keep going back

We went to this restaurant in late november. Good job we had booked because the restaurant got full in the time we were there. Best food we have had in feeragudo. The mix grill was just amaizing. the prawn masala was devine and the naans were light and fluffy. The vegetarian option was cery good. We enjoyed so much so that we are booked in for New Years Eve. Price is reasonable and the quality is second to none. Booking advisable. Highly recommended.

We went as a family, the service was slow/relaxed, food took nearly 50mins to come and this was a bit frustrating as we were all hungry, however when it came the ribeye steak was amazing, it was cooked to perfection and well presented. If you're looking for really nice food and very relaxed atmosphere, you can't go wrong with O Canto, it's advisable to book a table.
